Running meets football
10,000 participants. 20,000 spectators along the route. The Swiss Women's Run on 9 June 2024 in Bern was THE opportunity to draw attention to the largest women's-specific sporting event in Europe: the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 next July.
Host City Bern aims to be visible at as many of Bern's existing sporting events as possible. The Women's Run was the perfect opportunity for this.
The Host City Bern wheel of fortune in the Sponsoring Village attracted numerous interested visitors. The give-aways were a big hit. Both young and old got their emotions running high during the table football competition (known as «Töggelikasten» in Switzerland). In personal conversations and with flyers, spectators were made aware of the upcoming UEFA European Women's Championship in Switzerland and the Host City Bern program.
