UEFA launched its promotional campaign in Bern on International Women's Day. The kick-off put the spotlight on Europe's biggest women's sporting event for the first time and was also the start of a series of events that will take place between now and the start of the tournament.
March 23, 2024 - Ü30 senior women's tournament in Wankdorf
On March 23, 2024, the Bern/Jura Football Association held its first tournament for female footballers over 30 at the Wankdorf Stadium. The opportunity to join an over-30 team (seniors) like men has not been available to senior women footballers until now. By organizing this tournament, a new category is to be developed, with teams affiliated to a club and playing in their own regional league. This initiative offers a great opportunity to see experienced players in action and to promote team spirit. In addition, such tournaments should bring women back to football or inspire women to play football for the first time and thus counteract the shortage of female coaches, referees and officials.
May 18, 2024 - Grand Prix of Bern 2024
At the Bern Grand Prix, one of the largest running events in Switzerland, the host city of Bern put the UEFA Women's EURO 2025 in the spotlight when 25 children from the Seeland region opened the Bear Grand Prix wearing Swiss national football team shirts with the inscription «2025».

The Host City Bern team was of course also present at the Swiss Women's Run with a stand and various activities.
June 30, 2024 - Tour de Berne 2024
«One year to go!» - the countdown to UEFA Women's EURO 2025 begins on the day of the Tour de Berne, the women's cycling race for all in the city of Bern. After 42 km on the bike, the finish line is on the Bundesplatz. There, the athletes and the public will be made aware of the upcoming major event with the start of the countdown clock and inspired to spend July 2025 in Switzerland and in Bern. The program includes speeches by Reto Nause, tournament director Doris Keller and Swiss national coach Pia Sundhage, photo opportunities with the official UEFA Women's EURO trophy, goal wall shooting, pump track for kids, photo box and wheel of fortune.
